How to choose the correct stove

are you in a smokeless zone?

this is just a matter of phoning your local authority and they will tel you

do i want a wood burner or multi fuel?

a wood burner is great if your wood is below 18%, if not we would recommend a multi fuel so you can burn wood and smokeless fuels (subjet to stove choice and zone)

what size stove do i need?

to calculate the size of the stove you need the width (w),length (l) and height (h) of your room in meters

then: (w) x (l) x (h) = (t) / 14 = size of stove required

example: if a room is 5mts wide, 3.6mts long and 2.8mts in height

5 x 3.6 x 2.8 = 50.4 , then divide by 14, 50.4 / 14 = 3.6kw's required

this is a rough idea of the size you need we would recommend you then look at 4/5kw size stoves

Please note that if you require 5.1kws and above you must by law fit a air vent in to same the room as the stove is in, this can be in the form of an air vent or door vent or a floor vent (subject to conditions)
